I'm really on a bashing binge against the media! Here is something I just heard: Mark Schlereth on ESPN predicts the Steelers will pull the upset and beat the Ravens 13-11.
He's got two things wrong in his forecast:
1. The Steelers are currently a 3.5 point FAVORITE.
2. If the Steelers win by 2, it means they didn't cover.
Often the media will point to the team with the worse record as the underdog in a particular team (just like Mark Schlereth did here), but the sports betting market has a different view, the market thinks the Steelers are a better team than the Ravens for this Sunday's game in Pittsburgh.
