Well, the rumors were wrong. The Reds did not hire Jim Beattie, a retread - but instead hired a fresh new face - Wayne Krivsky - who was an assistant at Minnesota. Minnesota does things a bit differnetly than the OAKs, TORs, BOSs of the world, but they do win with young players. Without knowing anything about Krivsky, I've still gotta think this is a great hire compared to Beattie. Sure, Krivsky could fall flat on his face, but at least CIN now has a chance at getting a solid GM instead of a retread.
